7,200 lucky winners from 19 cities will get a chance to own this new age, new wave soft-roader, the Mahindra XUV 500. Will you be one of them? Learn more about how the bookings will be processed.
The 'big boy' has once again stirred up a frenzy with Mahindra & Mahindra reopening bookings for XUV 500 from January 25, 2012. But bearing in mind the mad rush for the car, the company has decided to give everyone a fair chance by conducting a draw for only 7,200 lucky winners across 19 cities. So how does the draw work and what all steps do you need to do to ensure you don't miss out on this opportunity?
First, you must deposit a nominal booking amount of Rs.80,000 payable via demand draft or pay order in favour of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. The amount is payable at the city/location of M&M local area office, details of which are available at select Mahindra showrooms. For instance, Mumbai and Nasik applicants can pay the DD in Mumbai but those in Pune and Nagpur will have to pay the DD in Pune. You can collect, fill up and submit your application form at select authorised Mahindra dealerships (see below) to be a part of the 'XUV 500 Draw'. But remember, the draw application period starts from January 25 at 9 am and ends on February 3, 2012 at 7 pm. Also, you won't be entitled to any special consideration for submitting the form early as your selection will be dependant on the order of the draw.
Once this is done, congratulations, you are one more step closer to be a winner. An automated process will then randomly scan through the entries to pick up the winners, whose names will be announced by February 15, 2012. In case, you don't win, don't lose heart, the company will refund your entire deposit amount (but without interest) within 30 days of the winners being announced. The results will also be posted on the XUV500's website, www.mahindraxuv500.com.
The draw process will be validated by the professional services firm, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd. (DTTIPL). For more details on the draw you can check the Mahindra website or get in touch with the dealers in the following cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandar, Nagpur, Nasik, Kochi, Thriuvananthapuram, Thrissur, Calicut and Coimbatore.
Another important point to note is that the price of the car will be the one which is there at the time of submitting the application and the company is not accepting any booking for the W8-AWD variant of the XUV 500. For a detailled review of the car, you can read our Road Test on the car.
